This project brought together a suite of smart building technologies, including:

By combining safety, accessibility, and seamless user experience, Alexandria & Davenport House at Currie Green sets a new benchmark for intelligent residential design. A great example of how the right technology enhances both everyday living and long-term operational efficiency. 

Flood Detection System

PCS installed Honeywell Wireless Flood Detection sensors in several Berwick communities throughout BC to help prevent costly water damage and support a safer environment for residents and staff. These sensors provide early detection of leaks and abnormal moisture, enabling faster response, minimizing disruption, and protecting critical infrastructure in suites and common areas. 

This system offers a real advantage in detecting flooding and allows a signal to be  transmitted from the panel to the monitoring station to allow for fast  reaction to avoid property damage and high costs associated with flood  damage.

PCS ensures professional installation and integration for reliable, long-term protection tailored to the needs of Berwick’s Communities.

Structured Cabling & Safety Systems
 

PCS completed a retrofit of an existing space to turn it into the new Vernon Community Dialysis Unit. 

This project’s goal was to modernize communications infrastructure and enhance patient and staff safety in a new location. The project included the installation of new structured cabling to support clinical systems, workstations, and network connectivity throughout the facility. 

In addition, PCS deployed an integrated Patient Assistance, Staff Duress, and Intrusion System, providing reliable emergency call coverage, real-time alerting, and improved security monitoring.

The upgraded space brings the facility up to current technology and safety standards.

PCS has been selected to install our technology in three new AgeCare Senior Living Communities, which will feature cloud-based communication solutions to enhance resident care. These builds will provide a total of 865 beds for both long-term care and supportive living. Our PCS projects aim to improve safety, comfort, and quality of life for residents, while equipping staff with reliable tools for care. 

The senior living technology solutions included in these projects feature Emergency Call Systems, Telephone services, Access Control, Wireless Door Locks, CCTV, and a PA System in each new Community.

PCS is excited to be involved in this innovative, world-class learning, research, living and working facility! This 43-story campus in downtown Kelowna, BC is a uniquely designed, three-sided tower that will incorporate state-of-the-art technology throughout, including cloud-based communication solutions, with a commitment to fostering innovation, community engagement, and education at the highest levels. 

PCS projects included in this development feature advanced structured cabling, access controls and intrusion systems, CCTV, a Code Blue emergency phone system, and the Enterphone telephone entry system, all integrating senior living technology to enhance safety and connectivity.

PCS has been selected to upgrade the phone systems across multiple Verve Senior Living communities with modern cloud-based communication solutions. This PCS project will provide reliable, flexible communication for staff and residents, streamline operations, and enhance connectivity throughout each facility. This initiative includes 10 Verve buildings throughout Canada.

The PCS solutions included in this project feature the ideal VoIP solution that will simplify office and mobile communications, including IP phones, wireless phones, and DECT handsets, enhancing the overall senior living technology.
