Electrician / Senior Installation & Service Technician – Low Voltage Systems
As PCS expands across Ontario, we’re looking for an experienced Electrician or Senior Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Toronto. This is a hands-on role with leadership potential — the right candidate will grow into a Foreman position, becoming a key part of PCS’s Ontario expansion plan.
What You’ll Do
✅ Install, terminate, and test voice/data, Nurse Call, CCTV, access control, and intercom systems
✅ Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications
✅ Troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, fiber)
✅ Work closely with project managers, contractors, engineers, and clients
✅ Provide on-site technical leadership and mentor junior technicians
✅ Ensure installations meet PCS standards of safety and quality
Your Qualifications
🔹 Licensed Electrician or equivalent low-voltage systems experience
🔹 Proficiency with structured cabling and system integration
🔹 Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
🔹 Ability to work independently or lead small teams
🔹 Experience with telecom, security, or life-safety systems (an asset)
🔹 Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites

Low Voltage Designer / Engineer
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Low Voltage Designer / Engineer, located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The responsibilities include designing and developing low-voltage systems, creating detailed layouts using CAD, collaborating with clients and teams to implement tailored solutions, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and relevant standards. The role also involves technical support, troubleshooting, and documentation to maintain systems' functionality and efficiency.
What you’ll do:
• Design and create BOMs based on project specs
• Support sales with estimates & system design
• Markup drawings and create as-builts
• Lead installs, pre-deployment, and equipment configuration
• Work with LANs, VLANs, remote management, IP, VoIP environment
• Support install teams on-site or remotely
Our projects include:
CCTV, Access Control, Nurse Call, Intrusion, IP & Cloud PBX, DECT Telephony, Paging Systems, IT Infrastructure, Structured Cabling, and more.
What we’re looking for:
• Preferred Experience in low voltage system design & install
• Networking knowledge (LAN, VLAN, IP configs, VoIP, domains, Active Directory, SQL, Servers)
• Familiarity with design tools (CAD or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting & leadership skills
Qualifications:
Telecommunication, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Electronics, Diploma or equivalent degree
